In a statement to KUNA on the sidelines of the 15th Congress of the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation, which kicked off in the Jordanian capital Amman earlier evening, Al-Musawi said that the annual rate of kidney transplant is between 75 to 100 in Kuwait, noting that Pancreas transplant operations are also increasing.
Al-Musawi pointed out that preparations are underway to start with conducting liver transplant soon, according to the guidelines and directives from Kuwaiti Minister of Health Dr. Ali Al-Obaidi.
