Kuwait Muncipality Seize Foodstuff From Hawkers

The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality disclosed that hawking and waste-removal inspectors and emergency teams in Ahmadi Municipality carried out field inspections in Sabahiya, Mangaf, Abu Halifa, Jaber Al Ahmad and Fahaheel Industrial areas during which they issued 9 citations against violations which included violations of health conditions and employment of staff without health certificates or with expired certificates, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

They also issued two citations against placing refrigerators beyond the boundary of the shop premises and placing tables and chairs in front of a shop without the necessary license. The chairs and tables were seized by municipality team and taken to Mina Abdullah Scrapyard. It also issued six warnings to other violators.

Ahmadi Municipality Director Fahad Al Shtili said the inspectors seized foodstuffs from hawkers and destroyed them right away, revealing that the emergency team also issued six citations for nonrenewal of advertising licenses.
