Kuwait Ranks First In Power Consumption

Kuwait ranks first in the power consumption with an average power consumption of nearly 15,700 kW, Ministry of Electricity and Water ’s Undersecretary Mohammad Bushehri said. He also said that in water consumption Kuwait is in third rank with a daily consumption rate of 500 liters.

Bushehri said the ministry works on more than one aspect to guarantee rationalization of power and water consumption in various sectors, adding that the tariff of consumption categories being currently proposed is one of those aspects, in addition to the awareness campaigns the ministry organizes in this regard. 

Bushehri said that it is wise to reconsider the way power and water is consumed, adding the ministry is also working on renewable energy and materials for lighting and air conditioning.
