Kuwait To Start Importing Expert Workforce From Bangladesh
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al- Mubarak Al-Hamad Al- Sabah and his accompanying delegation arrived in Dhaka on an official visit to Bangladesh, which is the first leg of an Asian tour that will also take him to Vietnam, Republic of Korea and Japan.
His Highness the Premier was received by Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed at Dhaka International Airport.
His Highness the Premier was given an official reception and greeted by an honor guard, and the national anthems of Kuwait and Bangladesh were played. His Highness the Prime Minister and his delegation shook hands with Bangladeshi officials.
His Highness the Prime Minister said in remarks to media before his departure that he was carrying messages from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to leaders of the four Asian countries that “touch on bilateral ties, issues of common interest and means of boosting mutual cooperation in various fields.” He expressed content over this tour, stressing Kuwait keenness on boosting and cementing relations with these countries. He added that “the East Asia region has become the locomotive of economic growth in the world, in addition to its central role in international politics and spreading world peace.”
He pointed out that his visit to Bangladesh reflects deep-rooted ties between the two nations, stressing Kuwait’s keenness in strengthening cooperation in various fields with Bangladesh. He said that Bangladeshi-Kuwaiti relations witnessed remarkable developments since the establishment of Bangladesh in 1971, as Kuwait was one of the first nations that recognized the new state.
His Highness the Prime Minister is accompanied by a high level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al- Saleh, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Bader Al-Essa, Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah and top officials from Kuwait Investment Authority, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority. He was also accompanied by a trade delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Abdulwahab Al-Wazzan.
