Kuwaiti Man Jailed For Beat His Wife, 2 Girls

29 December 2015 Kuwait

The Misdemeanor Court chaired by Judge Abdullah Al-Othman sentenced a Kuwaiti man to five years in prison with hard labor for battering his wife and two daughters, resulting in permanent disability to one of the girls. Attorney Abdul-Mohsin Al-Qattan, representing the plaintiff said the Public Prosecution charged the defendant for breaking the lower jaw of his daughter—as indicated in the medical report. The man is said to have beaten the second daughter and her mother in public, and verbally abused them, through which they suffered moral and psychological damages. Apparently, the man had a misunderstanding with his wife and it developed into physical attack. He extended the fight to his children while they were trying to rescue their mother.
