Kuwaiti Politician Harassed

A Kuwaiti politician has complained about facing harassment by Turkish securitymen every time he visits that country. He explained that he was surprised when he had to undergo unusual security questioning at the time of entry and exit during the last five times he visited that country. During the last visit, he asked for the reasons behind this action and requested to know what had to be done to avoid such procedures in the future. They told him to contact the Kuwaiti Embassy in Istanbul and speak with the concerned Turkish authority because his name is included in the list of people whose mission in the country, duration of stay and location of accommodation should be checked every time they visit the country.
