Kuwaiti Probed For Holding Dual Citizenship

Detectives from the Citizenship Affairs General Department opened an investigation on a female citizen whose husband claimed she holds dual citizenship. The husband submitted documents to the department to prove that his wife has dual citizenship, saying she is also a citizen of another GCC country.

This prompted the detectives to summon the wife for questioning. Sources confirmed that efforts are continuing to arrest those who obtained Kuwaiti citizenship fraudulently and those with dual nationality.
