Mahatma Gandhi Statue Unveiled At Indian Embassy

In a historic moment, General (Dr.) V. K. Singh, India’s Minister of State for External Affairs unveiled a life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi inside the Indian embassy premises in Kuwait on Wednesday, 7 May at a function held to mark the occasion.

Dr. V. K. Singh applauded the initiative and pointed out that this was the first-ever statue of Mahatma Gandhi being unveiled in the Gulf region. While paying tribute to the great leader, he urged all Indians to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi of truth, non-violence and peace. He then garlanded the statue to the applause of the small gathering.

The bronze statue is placed at the entrance of the embassy and is undoubtedly a majestic symbol that enhances the beauty of the chancery while conveying a meaningful message.
