Man Jailed 117 Years For Committing Criminal Offences

Police have arrested an unidentified person who had been sentenced in absentia to a total of 117 years imprisonment, says a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior.

The press release said the man had been sentenced on four different occasions for committing criminal offences 99 years, 10 years, 5 years and 42 months.

According to security sources, the suspect was riding in a taxi and when the police ordered the taxi driver to pull over, the suspect reported got out of the car and started running.

Police chased and arrested the man and after checking his name in the police computer system, it was found he was wanted by law. He has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
