Ministry Of Interior Terminates Many Bedoun In Public Good

10 November 2016 Kuwait

Ministry of Interior has ended the services of 22 Bedoun personnel for the sake of public good, and the majority of personnel affected by the decision have Kuwaiti spouses. A security source said the ministry issued the decision to end services of the 22 Bedouns even as some of them have served in the police cadre for over 20 years, and their dismissal has been justified as ‘serving public good’.

In the same context, the Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khalid issued a decision to reinstate individuals who previously served in the Police and resigned or retired or were dismissed for health reasons or refused disciplinary actions against them, as well as those who were charged and later acquitted of the allegation. The aforementioned individuals are expected to return to work on the same rank and salary, the source indicated.
