Ministry Ordered To Form Squad For Beggars

The higher leadership in the Ministry of Interior has ordered the formation of a squad to put an end to the phenomenon of begging. The daily, quoting security sources said, the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Affairs in cooperation with the public security sector is determined to curb begging.

The source added clear instructions have been issued by the senior officials in the Ministry to take punitive action against persons who sponsor the beggars. In the meantime, orders have been given by the authorities to deport foreigners who are caught begging, while the GCC citizens and Kuwaitis will be asked to write an undertaking not to indulge in beggary.
