Ministry Plans To Install Cctv Cameras Everywhere
The Interior Ministry has made a list of vital facilities, important sites and highways where it plans to install CCTV cameras. The same sources said the project will help combat crime and identify the suspects.
This will reduce a great burden from the shoulders of security personnel. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Farid Al-Emadi said the ministry plans to soon install CCTV cameras at all ministry buildings including mosques and the Holy Quran teaching facilities.
He added, a team of experts is preparing a tender which will be floated at the right time. Al-Emadi said the main purpose of installing the cameras is to ensure security of the places of worship and to record speeches of preachers and to get first hand information of what is taught during Holy Quran lessons.
This is in addition to prevent the entry of intruders. Al-Emadi explained the cameras will be controlled through a network and will facilitate dispatching of circulars, record speeches electronically. This is done upon a decision issued by the Council of Ministers.
