Moh Adopts National Strategy For Dealing With Diseases

Assistant Undersecretary of Public Health Affairs at Ministry of Health Dr Majida Al-Qattan has affirmed that the ministry has adopted a national strategy for dealing with a number of common and dangerous diseases in the Kuwaiti society, reports Al-Anba daily.

She revealed that a ministerial decision has been issued in this regard to form a national committee for ensuring prevention of Hepatitis, adding that this committee includes experts of different specializations to prepare a national strategy for eradicating Hepatitis by 2030.

Dr Al-Qattan stressed that the ministry has achieved significant success in its attempts to combat this disease by introducing a new set of medicines in governmental hospitals which resulted in a success rate of more than 90 percent in curing 300 patients of Hepatitis
