More Than 100kg Expired Food Seized , 2 Restaurants Closed In Eid Clampdown

The municipal authorities in Kuwait City launched a campaign to clamp down on violations during Eid Al-Fitr.

The crackdown included restaurants, cafes, suqs and street vendors in the metropolitan city.

The inspection teams shut down two restaurants and two other food outlets and confiscated more than 100 kilogrammes of expired food products.

Municipal workers have also removed 400 billboards which were installed to convey Eid Al-Fitr greetings.

The inspectors reported 35 various violations to the authorities for legal action.
