Most Men In Saudi Arabia Are Assaulted By Their Wives
A Saudi journalist on Wednesday claimed that half a million Saudi nationals are assaulted by their wives. Sattam Al-Thakil cited results of a survey conducted by a social consultancy centre in Saudi Arabia.
In a column titled ‘The Biting Wife,’ he sought help from an association in charge of defending men’s rights.
“Most men in Saudi Arabia are assaulted by their wives”, he claimed.
The consultancy centre said that it received more than 557,000 calls from husbands who claim that their wives assaulted them physically; but most of them do not dare complain openly for fear of social stigma.
It said in its statistics that canes and fry pans are most used by Saudi wives in physical assaults, while other domineering wives resort to biting, pinching and punching.
