Motorist Ran Over Police Officer

Police are looking for an unidentified motorist for attempting to run over a first lieutenant in Al-Naeem in Jahra when the latter went to arrest him for reckless driving.

When the lieutenant ordered the motorist to pull over, the latter stepped on the gas pedal and escaped but was forced to stop at a red traffic light. The officer then walked to the motorist to arrest him but the latter tried in vain to run over the officer and the officer fired at the car.

The motorist then escaped with the help of his friends. Acting on information a back-up force and paramedics were dispatched to the area and the injured officer was taken to the Jahra Hospital. Police are looking for the motorist and the suspects who helped him to escape.
