NileAir Plane Evacuated At Kuwait International Airport For Security Check
Category: Information

Authorities at the Kuwait International Airport on Tuesday searched a flight bound to Egypt as a "precautionary measure" prompted by disparity of numbers of boarding passes, the Interior Ministry said.

As a result of the difference between the actual boarding cards and the number recorded by the airliner, the authorities asked the passengers to leave the NileAir plane which was subjected to full inspection, in line with the relevant security requirements, ministry's Security Media Department said in a statement this evening.

It added that the airport's security bodies took the "precautionary measures" for inspecting the flight, which later took off to its destination. The Department called for verifying information from the authorized sources, saying they are always ready to offer reply to inquiries.
