Nine Indians Deported For A Noisy Gathering

Kuwait Government has deported nine Indians for illegal gathering without permission, Indian dailies reported. The deported were from Mangalore and nearby places. They were sent back to India on Friday night. 

Indian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Sunil Jain also confirmed that "Group of men who were conducting a gathering were taken in for questioning by police after the neighbors complained. All have now been deported.”

According to reports, eleven persons were arrested a week ago for gathering without permission. They were arrested following complaints from people in the neighbourhood.

The programme was held under the auspices of Navachrtana Welfare Association which is registered under the Indian Embassy.
 



Earlier, India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said in Delhi that India is making all efforts to secure the release of 11 Indian nationals, who were detained in Kuwait. "We are making every possible effort to secure the release of 11 Indian nationals detained in Kuwait," Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted. According to Kuwait News Agency, on Friday, Sushma Swaraj held a telephonic conversation with her Kuwait counterpart First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
