No Transport Allowances For Kuwait Gulf Oil Company Employees
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation plans to cancel special transportation allowances paid to Kuwait Gulf Oil Company employees working at the Khafji joint project.
The Ministry of Oil pays between KD 2.5 million and KD 3 million annually in monthly transportation allowances that vary between KD 150 and KD 450 depending on the worker’s social status. The nearly 800 employees will be transferred temporarily to other companies in the oil sector until operation is resumed at the Khafji project.
