Number Of Indians In Kuwait Reached 9.21 Lakh
The total number of Indian nationals in Kuwait has reached the all time high of 9.21 lakh.
As per the latest statistics issued last month, there are 9, 21,666 Indians with valid residency in Kuwait. The total number of Indian male is 707,085 while 194,386 female Indians are with valid residency in Kuwait.
The total number of Indians working in private sector under article no 18 is 460,411, in Domestic sector is 299,127 and government sector is 29,301. Total number of Indians under dependent visa is 112,536, where 37,791 are males and 74,745 are females in Kuwait.
While one Indian female is in business visa (Article 19), 43 Indian males are in business visa. Total of 43 Indians are under their own sponsorship (Article 24), this includes 26 female and 17 male.
There is a 20% drop in the number of female Indians domestic workers as compared to the previous years. While there is 219,390 male domestic workers in Kuwait, there is only 79,737 female Indian domestic workers in Kuwait. Thus is largely attributed to the ban on domestic visa for Indian women.Â
Total of 20,195 Indians are on temperory residence (Article 14) which include 18,535 male and 1,660 female. Total of 9 Indians (7 male and 2 female) are on education visa (Article 23).
