Over 1,000 Citations Issued For Using Phones, Reckless Driving

As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to safeguard the public against road accidents, Hawalli Traffic Department conducted an intensive traffic campaign under the guidance of the Acting Director Colonel Hamad Al-Marri and executed by the acting Head of Traffic Regulation Department Lieutenant Colonel Bader Al-Qattan and Captain Khalid Al- Mazram.

The campaign led to the issuance of 1,137 traffic citations covering the use of mobile phones while driving, lack of seatbelts, and reckless driving. In this context, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry urges motorists to respect the traffic rules and regulations to ensure safety of road users and the general public.
