Petition Filed Against Cleric For Violating The National Unity Law

Attorney Adnan Abul filed a complaint with the Attorney-General, Dhirar Al-Asousi, accusing religious preacher, Fouad Al-Rifai of violating the national unity law, after he described the Shiite Muslims as renegades and infidels.

In the same context, detectives from the Cyber Crimes Department have filed a case against Fouad Al- Rifai, accusing him of violating the law of preserving national unity and preventing sedition incite. Attorney Abul the Public Prosecution demanded to take appropriate legal actions against the accused as per the law concerning the preservation of the national unity.

The accused, Al-Rifai, had humiliated one of the social calibers of the Kuwaiti society and instigated sectarian sedition, which is in violation of the national unity preservation law — actions that could lead to hatred and also inciting sectarian sedition in the country.
