Saudi airport customs men arrested a pilgrim after scanning images showed he was concealing 93 capsules of heroin in his stomach.

The unidentified pilgrim, who arrived in the traditional white Haj (pilgrimage) clothes, was subjected to imaging after he was suspected by the customs officials at the airport in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.

"The scan showed that he was hiding 93 capsules of heroin in his stomach weighing nearly 686 gm," Ajel newspaper said, quoting customs chief Mohammed Al Akeel.
