Police Arrested Snapchat Traffickers

31 March 2016 Kuwait

The anti-narcotics squads arrested five Saudi traffickers who resorted to social media website Snapchat to sell drugs.

Security authorities in charge of combatting cyber crimes identified the traffickers who were carrying out their illicit business under the pseudonym 'Actionha', and referred them to relevant authorities to face legal action.

"The traffickers posted video recordings showing their illicit business, to market drugs to young people and children in particular," said the Interior Ministry media spokesman.

The police arrested the Snapchat traffickers as they gathered at a rest house in Riyadh and confiscated 788 amphetamine pills, 229 prohibited medical pills, 12 grams of cannabis, 2 pistols and 66 live bullets.
