Police Captain Assaults Elderly Sergeant Major

A police captain is said to have assaulted an unidentified elderly sergeant major just because the latter did not salute him, The suspect works for the Capital Traffic Department and is under direct command of the Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs.

The sergeant major has been referred to the Farwaniya Hospital. A medical report submitted by the victim shows redness in the right eye, injury to the cornea and bruises in the neck. A security source said the assault was recorded by the CCTV camera. It is not mentioned what action has been taken against the captain.
