Project To Renovate The 5th Ring Road And Overhaul A Water Transfer Pipeline

Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Al-Omair signed on Thursday two agreements to renovate the 5th road ring and overhaul a water transfer pipeline, both totaling KD 154,888,000 (million).

A statement by the Public Works Ministry said the first agreement will aim at rebuilding the 5th road, including maintenance reaching all the way to western side of the road, with a total value of KD 108,800,000 (million).

The deal also focuses on establishing and completing vital bridges in addition to providing other services on the roads' sides.

The second agreement stipulates establishing and maintaining the water pipeline for transfer and treatment in the main control center, dubbed DMC, all the way to Al-Wafra pumping station, with a total value of KD 46 million. (USD=KD 0.303).
