Queries On Driving License

I am a mechanical supervisor who is completing his second year in Kuwait. I was working for another sponsor for the first year and then I transferred to the current sponsor and completed one year with him.

I have a salary of KD 600 … will I be able to apply for a driving license? Or do I have to complete two years with the same sponsor?

After I have got my license will my license be invalid if I change my profession to another one but still satisfy the condition of the salary cap?

Answer: No, you don’t have to complete two years with the same sponsor. According to the law, you must have completed two years in Kuwait (irrespective of the number of sponsors) at the time of applying for the driving license.

On the issue of change of profession, you won’t be affected unless you get the license for the designations of “driver, student, housewife or mandoub” and then change to another designation.

In such cases only will the license be cancelled. You won’t be affected if you get the license for other professions and then make a change.
