Rush In Banks And Markets

05 July 2016 Kuwait

Ministries are empty while the banks and markets are heavily congested — this is the usual scene on the first working day of the last week of Ramadan, just few days before Eid Al-Fitr.

An official from Civil Service Commission (CSC) said the holiday spirit is high before, after and during Eid holidays due to which employees want to take more holidays to either rest or travel.

He stressed that Eid Al-Fitr is falling on the beginning of the month this time which means most employees who have not yet taken their official holidays are entitled to take monthly permits or benefit from sick leaves.

The official said CSC has been continuously warning against the suspension of work in various utilities and the absence of employees in service ministries, affirming that employees who are involved in this matter will be subjected to legal accountability.
