Sick Leave Forgery
The Ministry of Health referred many employees assigned in its Technical Administrative Affairs Sector to the Public Prosecution for forging sick leave applications, reports Al-Nahar daily quoting sources.Sources confirmed the ministry has forwarded an official letter to the prosecution on the suspected manipulation of sick leaves based on the preliminary investigation conducted by the Administrative Investigation Unit.
Sources said Health Minister Dr Ali Al-Obaidi has approved the proposal to take legal procedures against the erring employees by referring the case file to the prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Legal Affairs Sector in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor will withdraw the permits of four wedding halls in the coming days due to violations and problems amongst the heirs of the owner of one of the wedding halls, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed the violations were uncovered in the wedding halls located in Sabahiya, Qadsiya and Rumaithiya while the heirs of the owner of a wedding hall in Sabahiya have failed to address problems among themselves.
In another development, sources said the ministry has formed an investigative panel to look into the alleged financial and administrative violations in Sulaibikhat Cooperative Society. And, in an unrelated development, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education Dr Haitham Al-Atari recently discussed the grievances presented by the teachers who were appointed on September 8, 2013 regarding their exclusion from the excellent performance bonus due to their joining date, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting educational sources. After affirming their right to the bonus because their first day of their work during the school year 2013/2014 was September 8, 2013, Dr Al-Atari decided to modify the date in order to include teachers who were appointed before September 9, 2013.
The sources said Al-Atari waited until Minister of Education Dr Bader Al-Essa returned from his vacation and presented the matter to him for officially approving the decision to amend the date. In another development, 85 social and physical researchers who signed contracts with Ministry of Education during the last phase will join work soon to fill the shortages in the schools and educational zones.
Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs at Ministry of Education Fahad Al-Ghais asked the social and physical researchers who passed the interviews to take the documents of their medical checkup and fingerprinting from Ministry of Interior in order to complete their transactions.
