The founder Mr. Joshua John mentions for a great view to capture the meteor showers the location plays a big role and suggests that farther away from the city makes for an ideal location to survey the night sky since there’s lack of light pollution.

The objective of this free event which was open to public is to bring forth a platform where all stargrazing enthusiasts and photographers can come together to share, learn and witness the impressive Delta Aquarid meteor shower.

The Delta Aquarids, which started to fall in July, was first seen in 1870s. The meteor shower gets its name from the Delta Aquarii, a star in the Aquarius constellation. Meteor showers like the Deltas occurs when Earth’s orbit passes through the trail of a comet as it makes its own way around the sun. The shower is produced by debris stemming from comets Marsden and Kracht. When the meteor collides with the atmosphere, the speed is at least 25,000 mph, an incredible amount of energy that, along with the chemical effects, produces the streaks of light. As the debris burn up it creates plenty of illuminations in the night sky.
