Strict Traffic Checking Rules Helps In Reducing Accidents

The new amendment which was issued through a ministerial decree which calls for withdrawal of driving licence and gives right for the General Traffic Department to impound the vehicle for two months from motorists who are careless and do not comply with safety regulations has greatly contributed to the reduction in traffic accidents.

One of the serious violations committed by the motorists is the use of cell phone while driving. If a person is caught speaking on the phone while driving he/she will be charged with using the phone while driving which is a violation and not paying attention to the road. In this event the traffic police have been given the authority to confiscate the licence and impound the vehicle for two months.
