Technical Inspection Department Seized 9 Cement Mixture Trucks

Officers from the Technical Inspection Department Monday, in a traffic campaign at Kabad roundabout, issued 200 traffic citations and seized nine cement mixture trucks. They also seized a vehicle and referred the expatriate motorist for deportation.

The department declared article 35 of the traffic law stipulates that violators can be imprisoned for not more than 15 days and/or forced to pay a fine of KD 25. The same punishment can be imposed on drivers of heavy vehicles if sand or any liquid material from their vehicles fall on the road and could cause damage to the roads.
