Toyo Tires Top Fbaa 41st Major Conference 2nd Wk
Toyo Tires Team remains on top and toppled other teams as the 41st Major Conference organised by Filipino Badminton Association of Ahmadi (FBAA) entered its second week at the Fahaheel Sports Club gym. Toyo Tires, Robinsons Land Corp, Cebu Pacific, AYA Plant Intl, Ali Café & HITCO competed head to head in different categories in the mixed-doubles badminton tournament. The first elimination round was participated in by 180 players in the Advance, Intermediate, Novice 1, Novice 2 and Novice 3 categories.
Players showed off their stamina in the various matches adopting a 21-point system. Matches between Maureen Up and Ness Aguilar vs Roxanne Alonzo and Cathy Lesaca in Novice 2 exemplified women power at its best. On the other hand, matches between Freddie Ocampo and Alene Valencia vs Franlin Montesclaros and Jerry Labagnoy showed no mercy after they have been defeated.
