Transfer From Fathers Residence To Husband - But Husbands Salary Is Below 450

Now coming to my query. I am an Indian with Article No. 22. I am under my father’s sponsorship and my family and myself have been residing in Kuwait for the past 25 to 30 years.

Last October I got married in India to a nurse who is also working in Kuwait. I got marriage certificate attested at the Kuwait Embassy in India.

Would you please advise me what next I should do to transfer my residence from my father’s to my husband’s. I would like to bring to your notice that my husband’s salary is KD 300. Does his salary pose any obstacle in him being my sponsor?

Answer: The concerned minister, while announcing the KD 450 salary cap, clearly said that the decision would not affect those expatriates who were already in the country before the decision was announced nor would it affect those expatriates whose residencies are to be renewed.

Now in your case, since you want to transfer from father’s residence to husband who is also a nurse, you have a another advantage that 14 categories are exempted from the KD 450 minimum salary condition one of them is nurses.
