Trucker Caught Dumping Waste On Road

The drivers of two tankers were arrested for dumping dangerous industrial liquid wastes on the Seventh Ring Road near Kabad stables. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the suspects were arrested during campaigns launched by the Environment Police Department affiliated to the Public Security Sector and Environmental Inspection and Supervision Department in cooperation with the Environment Public Authority based on instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali. Such environmental crimes have been taking place due to lack of supervision on these dangerous wastes that will negatively impact the soil and contribute to air pollution. The suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal measures after discovering, from the results of the analyses on the waste substances in the EPA labs, an increase in the bacterial contamination indicators.
