Watch Your Children, Advises State Security Agents
The State Security agents have reportedly spotted a number of websites which incite young men, particularly from the Gulf, to join terrorist organizations including the Islamic State or the so-called DAESH, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reliable sources, the websites target young men who are in their late teens. Once hooked, these teenagers are shown provocative pictures and then call upon them to save people, what they call the ‘oppressed’. This is in addition to calling for financial support or taking part in the fight against the ‘non-believers’. The same sources pointed out dozens of young men in Kuwait have reportedly interacted with these sites.
The sources added these websites are managed abroad and focus on the young people from the Gulf, including Kuwait. The concerned authorities have reportedly expressed regret about their inability to block those sites although the State Security was able to close a number of them. The security authorities have called on the parents to follow the activities of their children and prevent them from falling prey to those who embrace the deviant thought.
In a related context, the State Security apparatus has succeeded in drying up the sources of terrorism by monitoring the activities and putting the suspicious elements under surveillance, and arresting those involved in financial transfers to terrorist organizations through Asian banks.
The sources said the State Security agents have succeeded in ‘containing’ three Kuwaiti members of DAESH for their involvement in recruiting and facilitating their departure to neighboring countries to enter conflict areas. Meanwhile, Vice-Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Moahmmad bin Naif bin Abdulazizi Al Saud on Monday reaffirmed his country’s “unshaken resolve to defeat terrorism through combating extremist ideology and tracking down those tempted to tamper with the security of the homeland.
Presiding over the weekly cabinet session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, Prince Mohammad offered condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud over the martyrdom of members of the special emergency force who were killed in the terrorist bombing at a mosque in Abha city, Asir Region, last Thursday. “The terrorist bombing revealed the extent of hatred of these criminals as well as their disregard for the sanctity of houses of Allah and the lives of innocent people, as they have a deviant thought and are stripped of all religious, moral and human values and their work has no relevance to Islam,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported quoted him as saying during the meeting.
The Vice-Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques confirmed that these acts will not affect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the unity of its people; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will remain a place of security and stability; and these terrorist acts and what is being carried out by Khawarij (outlaws) will not discourage security men in confronting firmly all those tempted to tamper with the security of the homeland and its achievements. Prince Mohammad bin Naif thanked leaders of the brotherly and friendly countries and the regional and international organizations for condemning this criminal incident and expressing solidarity with the Kingdom.
