Water Supplies Cut In 12 Areas On Friday For Maintenance Works

For conducting maintenance works and completion of the Jamal Abdul Nasser Road project, water supplies would be cut in 12 areas on Friday, Feb 19 for 14 hours starting at 8:00 pm and ending on 10:00 am the following morning. 

MEW’s Assistant Undersecretary for Water Operation and Maintenance Khalifa Mohammed Al-Furaij said after coordination with MPW concerning the contract of building and maintaining roads, passages, sewers, rain drainage and other services along Jamal Abdul Nasser Road, the ministry would connect freshwater and 600 and 400 mm lowaline water lines in sectors B and C of phase two of the project to the main water grid as well as maintain and replace 11 valves. 

“This will lead to cutting water supplies in the psychological disease hospital, Al-Rashed allergy hospital, Al-Razi hospital, maternity and Sabah hospitals,” he explained, noting that water would be also cut in the Sabah health zone, Doha, Sulaibikhat, Granada, Andalus, Sulaibiya industrial and residential areas, Firdous, Ardiya, Riqae, Qairawan, Rai, Amghara water tanker station, Nahda and Rabiya.
