Weapons Seized

Two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested in possession of a large number of unlicensed weapons and ammunition, reports Al- Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when the General Department for Weapons Investigations received information about a Kuwaiti citizen possessing unlicensed weapons, they obtained a warrant and searched his apartment to find an automatic weapon, two grenades, eight pistols and large quantity of ammunition.

They also arrested another Kuwaiti citizen after raiding his apartment and finding a number of unlicensed weapons and ammunition including one pistol, 11 Kalashnikovs, four air rifles and five telescopes.

Both suspects confessed that they owned the weapons and did not have the license for possessing them. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them. The General Department for Weapons Investigations affirmed that it will continue to hold such
