Whatsapp To Add New Features

19 July 2016 Technology

WhatsApp is planning to add  few different features for its Android and iOS users. One of them being a new font - FixedSys. The font is currently being tested by Beta users. However, it is not that easy to use, users should use three backquote symbols, before and after a sentence or a word.

Like this:  ”’Insert text”’

Another drawback is that after the font is changed, the text cannot adhere to commands like Bold, Italics or Strikethrough.

WhatsApp is also looking to add GIF support to its iOS app and they are working on a video-calling feature too, according to a report in The Indian Express.

The tech team behind the messaging app is consistently adding new features to make it more user-friendly:

All conversations are now fully encrypted, that means no third party can listen or read your conversations.
PDFs and Doc files can be shared now.
Options like Bold, Italics and Strikethrough have been enabled.
Quote message feature has been enabled which allows users to quote specific messages or media and reply to them.
