Worshippers Robbed During Friday Prayers

Police have arrested an unidentified person for breaking into the vehicles of worshippers during Friday prayers and stealing valuables, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The daily added, the suspect was caught red-handed by a police patrol while breaking into the vehicle of one of the worshippers near the Sabikah Mosque in Sabah Al-Nasser. The arrest came following instructions issued by a senior Interior Ministry official to protect the property of worshippers particularly during Friday prayers. The daily added, plainclothes policeman driving a civilian car saw the suspect ‘at work’ and caught him red-handed. The daily said the suspect tried in vain to escape but he was chased and arrested.
