Zain Launched Ramadan Iftar Meals

07 June 2016 Kuwait

Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, launched its annual ‘Iftar Al Saem’ initiative to provide fasting individuals with Iftar meals as part of its extensive Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility program during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The company distributes daily Iftar meals throughout the Holy Month in two different Iftar halls in Jileeb Al Shuyoukh and Hawalli.

Zain’s campaign is part of its growing support for charitable and social oriented programs, and is a reflection of its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy. One such program Zain organized before the start of the Holy Month featured the distribution of “Machla Boxes” to underprivileged families.

Zain’s annual ‘Iftar Al Saem’ initiative, which comes for the eleventh consecutive time this year, is considered a main pillar of the company’s comprehensive CSSR campaign during the Holy Month. The Iftar meal banquets are supervised by Zain’s volunteers team and are spread in two main halls in Kuwait as part of a strategy to cover the most populated areas of Kuwait in order to assure the maximum amount of individuals’ Iftar needs are covered.

Ramadan presents a special occasion for Zain to communicate and interact with the Kuwaiti community it operates in through its extensive CSSR campaign. Zain’s team started preparing for the Iftar campaign prior to the coming of Ramadan to assure the process of distributing more meals to a larger geographical footprint goes smoothly.

Zain affirmed that its social and CSSR campaign during the Holy Month of Ramadan will include an extensive array of initiatives and programs that will focus on helping less fortunate people to enjoy Ramadan happily, as well as celebrating the true spirit the Holy month brings.
