Start building’

Mustafa Rashed says he lived for a long time in Al-Azhar, studying, learning and teaching Islamic sciences, and that he and others had learned many religious matters and considered them as constants, although in fact they are incorrect and runs contrary to Sharia, and not based on the principles of the Holy Quran or Hadith (record of the traditions or sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), revered and received as a major source of religious law and moral guidance).

Mustafa says such constants are based on the interpretation of early religious scholars of incorrect or false Hadith, or misinterpretation of the verses due to their ignorance.

Unfortunately, a majority of the clergymen have followed in the footsteps of those early religious scholars without giving a thought to what they preach but to the contrary they raise objections against those who disagree with the books they consider sacred, though they are non-existent or there are manuscripts or even copies of the originals, which if they were really existent they would be damaged.

History did not not mention the existence of manuscripts (even damaged manuscripts) at any time such as Sahih Bukhari and Muslim and Sunnan of Al-Nisa’ei and Abi Dawood and Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah, and in jurisprudence such as Abu Hanifa and Shafi’i and Ibn Hanbal and Malik.

In spite of all the above, everyone still believes that Islam punishes apostasy (killing), and that there is hijab or veil in Islam, or that there is a torment in the grave or stoning. It is a mistake that we have learned that Muslim women cannot marry the people of the Book (is an Islamic term referring to Jews, Christians, and Sabians), and that the testimony of one man equals the testimony of two women in all matters, although they are only in commercial matters. They also taught us wrongly without any evidence that the divorce without witnesses and proof is occurring, and that the Jews and Christians are infidels without any valid basis.

We have also learned that women cannot govern men, nor even a non-Muslim over a Muslim even if the former is more efficient. They taught us that the marriage is valid before the age of eighteen. They also taught us without proof or evidence that it is not permissible to kill a Muslim who killed a non-Muslim man. They also taught us that armed jihad is a must in terms of offense and not only in defense. Congratulating non-Muslims on their festivals is haram, but has no legal basis. They also taught us that the statues are haram and polygamy is permissible in Islam.

They also presented Hajj as a priority to Zakat as opposed to the truth, and many things that may have long explanations, things that are adopted and followed by terrorism practiced around the world, and did not speak deliberately that the pursuit of science and mastery of worship, and that the love of all people is worship, and a human without conscience will not see paradise, even if he/she has fulfilled all the religious duties in full.

I hope that we learn the correct tolerant Sharia or ask the people in the lands of the infidels how they knew the faith, even though we are the people who should know this. (end quote).

It seems at first glance that it is reasonable, but – if proven – how Sheikh Mustafa reached the right Hadith unlike others? Did he not use his logic and specific measurement tools? This is exactly what his opponents did, some of them are right especially if we know that there are no original books or manuscripts that support the views of any party and history has not told us about their damage at any time.

In the absence of the original texts or manuscripts, those who do not believe in any hadith or sunna are considered infidel and here we find that we have no other than faith and recognition of what are included, and to let each Muslim choose what he sees fit and agree with his/her nature, provided that we separate religion from the state, religion is for God and the homeland for all. Time has come to leave these small differences behind us and devote ourselves to building.

Our backwardness has reached degrees that can no longer be sustained. Some may say that I call for secularism and that they will strive to stop its application, but I clearly see that they are also striving to go and live in the secular countries.
