A Night With Al-Johar

He was named the “Octopus of Oud”, and the “Ambassador of Sorrrow”, yet his dearest titles are The Saudi Musician Abadi Al-Johar, and “Abou Sarah”, his eldest daughter. Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre is proud to host the Saudi artist Abadi Al-Johar, who will captivate his Kuwaiti audience with his passionate warm voice and the plectrum that merges his emotions with his Oud. Al-Johar will perform melodies carrying his own mark, which adds distinction to a lot of his songs making them essentially “Abadi-esque” in style. Abadi Al-Johar is not just a unique singer and a skilled Oud player, but he’s also a composer for numerous Arabic artists, including Talal Maddah, Najat Al-Saghera, Abdullah Rashad, Samira Saeed, and Asala Nasri, among others. He also sang masterworks written by Gulf contemporary poets and songwriting pioneers, including Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashed Al-Maktom, Prince Badr Ben Abdul-Mohsen, Prince Abdul-Rahman Bin Mosaed, Fayeq Abdul-Jaleel, Talal Al-Rasheed, and many others.
