Chinese New Year Concert 2019

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait, in partnership with NCCAL, is pleased to announce the forthcoming Chinese New Year Concert 2019 presented by Nanjing Chinese Orchestra and Nanjing Song & Dance Ensemble:

Venue:Abdulhussain Abdulredha Theatre in Salmiya
FREE ENTRY, NO TICKETS REQUIRED.

The Concert will feature a range of Chinese folk music from the traditional to the modern played by traditional Chinese musical instruments, such as Guzheng (Chinese zither), Erhu (two-stringed bowed instrument), Pipa (pear-shaped four-stringed plucked instrument), Dizi (Bamboo flute), Ruan (rounded plucked string instrument), etc.. Dance performances accompanied by the Chinese music will also be performed at the concert. 

The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is one of the most important and prominent festivals in China that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the Chinese calendar, and is also an important occasion for family bonding and reunion throughout the year.
