Omar Khairat Music

In this concert, Omar Khairat will perform for you a chosen compilation of his music which embodies his emotions and combines all the diverse cultures he's been exposed to. Omar Khairat, who happens to be one of the most distinguished modern Egyptian musicians, started playing the piano at the age of five. He was trained by the Italian maestro Vincenzo Caro in the Conservatoire. Later on, he continued his studies in the Trinity College of Music in London. His music was influenced by Arabic culture and music, European classics, Egyptian and African folklore, in addition to other arrays of western music; like Jazz, Pop and Blues. Omar Khairat's first steps in his musical composition journey started in 1979. Yet the music he composed for the Egyptian film "The Night of Fatima’s Arrest " was his first masterpiece to gain popularity and admiration by the audience. Later on, he created numerous pieces for different film and television dramas, he also composed multiple ballet performances as "The Witch and the Fancy Perfumes" and "The Nile". Khairat also produced the music for two operettas, "100 years of Cinema" and "Arabic Rhapsody", in addition to composing the 6th of October Symphony.
