Dar al-Athar Islamic and in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa invites you to an African evening with Bobs Mohammed and friends. 
Born in Benoni, east of Johannesburg, South Africa, Bobs Mohammed is considered an "unofficial minister of music". In the 1990s, he began to present the music of Calihari in Namibia, mixing it with different types of music ranging from jazz, fengue, drum and bus. 
Between 1991 and 1992, Bubbs Mohammed produced local albums from solo music, earning him the Jazz Award currently known as the Sama Award. In 1995, he released his first international album, and played with musicians from New York and South Africa. The album won the Sama Award for Best Traditional Performance.

Pops Muhamed was 
Born in Benoni east of Johannesburg in South Africa, Pops Mohamed is said by many to be South Africa’s ‘unofficial minister of music’. In the 90s he began recording the music of the San from the Kalahari in Namibia and integrating it into various projects ranging from jazz and funk to drum .‘n’ bass and trance
1991 and in 1992 he produced for the South African market the solo albums Kalamazoo, and Sophiatown Society, both nominated for the Best Jazz Album Award ror the South African OKTV awards, now known as the SAMA award.
