For those who want to have more time to delve in flameworking working with Borosilicate glass then this is the workshop for you.  In the course of three days and twelve hours you will learn all about torch safety and usage, how to work with the material, shaping and creating functional objects.  

After you successfully complete the workshop you will receive a Certificate of Completion and 5 hours of access to Yadawi Studio to continue with a Torch Time Coupon.  

 
Continuing the new Glass Program at Yadawi, we have designed an in depth immersion workshop experience that will enable you to master the basics focusing on shaping and sculpting in glassmaking and blowing .   We hope you will join and experience this incredible medium and unleash your creativity!
Meet your Glassmaking Educator Mohammed Al Duwaisan
Mohammed Al Duwaisan has been involved in Glassmaking and Blowing well over three years with experience in production and having studied under such accomplished artists such as Tom Galbraith and Simone Crestani to name a few.  His commitment and attention with students has garnered him a solid following enabling the learning process to be accessible to students in a lively and hands on approach allowing students to grow and perfect their techniques.  
  
What we will be doing

● Understanding glass shop safety rules and following them

● Lighting torches independently

 

Using borosilicate t solid rods students will create personal adornment items

and small handheld objects:

● Marbles

● Pendants

● Components 

 

Lampworking techniques covered will include:

 

● Fire polishing

● Fire cutting

● rod fusing

● Tube constricting and pulling points

● Synthetic opal infusions

 

What Yadawi will provide*

Our aim is for you to be able to learn and create in a state-of-the-art, world class studio that is comfortable and welcoming. With ample parking and access, you will be using the studio, Bethlehem Torches, Paragon Annealing Kiln, a complete kit of tools and supply of glass and other materials.

In addition, refreshments, our famous home brewed coffee and hospitality will be available.  

Dress Code 

Wear natural fiber and comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes, long sleeves.  Avoid flowing, dangling jewelry and dishdashas.

We welcome all creatives 16 years and older.
