Woven Paintings Workshop
We are thrilled to announce that we will have visiting artist and Professor of Fibers from the University of North Texas, @leslirobertson, with us at the Sadu House to share her knowledge and love of weaving in an innovative contemporary weaving workshop!
This one day workshop explores expressive approaches to weaving. Through a variety of techniques, you will learn how to create textures, surfaces, and unique designs using traditional and non-traditional materials. Also, through hands on discoveries, you will be able to contribute to a woven panel that will be displayed as a part of Weaving Stories, an international community sculpture, opening at Al Shaheed Park in October 2016.
We want to encourage people in Kuwait to learn and appreciate the art of weaving, so the cost of the workshop will be a nominal fee of 10KD. That will include all the supplies you need for the workshop and a small loom to take home.
