21 September 2015 Kuwait

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo has filed a missing persons report with the Egyptian authorities on an unidentified Kuwaiti girl who left the country for Egypt on Aug 30 and has not been heard of since Sept 11, 2015, reports Al- Shahed daily. According to the family she left with her friends to visit Upper Egypt. The daily added, the brother contacted Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ministry informed the Embassy in Cairo with a request for the Egyptian authorities to look for the missing girl since the disappearance is shrouded in mystery.

The girl’s brother has also left for Egypt to look for his sister. He said he has heard of a stolen car was found in the same area where his sister went missing. The car may hold the clue to the disappearance of his sister. Before her disappearance, the girl posted a tweet on her cell phone that says: “I am in a farm and if, God forbid, something wrong happens, inform the Kuwaiti embassy because the situation is ‘terrible’.” The Al-Rai daily quoting an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the ministry has stepped up efforts to look for the 28-year-old missing Kuwaiti woman who left for Egypt with her Saudi mother last month and nothing has been heard of them since Sept 12, 2015.
