10-years Imprisonment To Filipina Woman

The Court of Appeals presided over by Judge Nasser Salem Al-Haidi upheld the verdict issued by the lower court, which sentenced a Filipina woman who was accused of joining DAESH to ten-year imprisonment with hard labor followed by deportation.

According to the case file, Ministry of Interior had announced its arrest of a 33-year old expatriate who had entered the country on domestic labor visa. She was accused of joining DAESH and paying allegiance to it as well preparing to carry out terror attacks in the country in coordination with the terrorist organization.
 
The ministry discovered this after it detected an online account run by her. It declared that she was in contact with the organization in Libya using a fictitious name to avoid security authorities from catching her. Meanwhile, the Criminal Court sentenced three Syrians to three year imprisonment with hard labor for forging Kuwaiti citizenship. One of the convicts had impersonated an officer of rank “Captain” in Special Forces.

The Public Prosecution charged the trio of forging official documents – birth notification, birth certificate, citizenship certificate, civil ID and passport issued in the name of the impersonator.
